What it cannot do from inside a chat window is watch that answer change: notice the morning a deploy blocks a crawler, remember what it told you last week, or track whether you actually get cited over time.

What is the Alice MCP server?
It is a Model Context Protocol server that lets an AI assistant run an AI-visibility audit on any website. Once connected, you ask ChatGPT, Claude or Cursor in plain language, the assistant calls Alice, and the result appears in your chat. MCP is the open standard those assistants use to reach outside tools.
Is it free, and do I need an account?
The audit tools are free and need no account. There is a small daily limit per connection to keep it fair; a free Alice account lifts it and adds daily monitoring. Nothing you scan is charged to you.
Which assistants can connect to it?
Any client that speaks Model Context Protocol. Today that includes Claude (desktop and web, on a paid plan), ChatGPT (via Developer mode on a paid plan), Cursor, and Claude Code. The server URL is the same for all of them: https://tranx.io/api/mcp.
How is this different from just asking ChatGPT to look at my site?
An assistant on its own guesses from what it can fetch in the moment. Alice runs the real scan: it resolves your robots.txt the way each crawler does, reads the raw HTML with no JavaScript, and checks your structured data, then returns a scored result the model can reason about. You get a measurement, not an impression.
Does connecting the MCP let Alice change my site?
No. Both tools are read-only. They fetch and grade public pages and return findings. Alice can draft and open fixes as pull requests for review, but only inside the product once you connect a repository, and always behind your approval. The MCP never writes anything.
