Question 1

What is Alice?

Accepted Answer

Alice by TranX is an AI visibility tool for non-technical business leaders that tracks whether AI answers cite their website and which sources are cited instead. She suggests buyer questions, monitors branded and non-branded questions across AI engines, and analyzes responses and citations to identify gaps. She prepares webpage improvements, blog posts and articles for your review and approval, with daily monitoring on paid plans and weekly reports.

Question 2

What is "AI visibility", and how does Alice measure it?

Accepted Answer

Two things, measured separately. Whether AI crawlers can reach and read your site at all, which the free audit reports per bot with no signup. And whether AI answers actually cite you for the queries your buyers type, which Alice probes daily and keeps as a series so you see change rather than noise. Google AI Overviews is checked on every paid plan, along with three more engines, labeled exactly as the product labels them: ChatGPT (OpenAI model with web search, not the ChatGPT app), Claude (Anthropic API with web search, not claude.ai), and Gemini. Each engine is reported on its own, as cited, mentioned, not cited, or no sources returned, because they rarely agree.

Question 3

Can you tell me whether being found produced customers?

Accepted Answer

AI visibility and business outcomes are separate measurements. Alice can show identifiable AI referrals alongside connected search and paid traffic, but she cannot reliably attribute sales or revenue to an AI mention or citation. Missing referrals and other data limits mean that visibility changes do not establish causation.

Question 4

How is Alice different from ChatGPT?

Accepted Answer

A conversation with ChatGPT does not automatically monitor responses from other AI providers. Alice checks the same branded and buyer questions across Google AI Overviews, Gemini, and OpenAI and Anthropic models with web search, stores their responses over time, and analyzes citation gaps. Daily monitoring on paid plans, weekly reports and content suggestions turn those findings into work you can review.

Question 5

How is Alice different from an SEO tool?

Accepted Answer

Alice combines buyer-question discovery, AI-answer monitoring and citation analysis with suggested content improvements. She helps explain which competitors and sources appear in the monitored answers, recommends publishing channels, and prepares webpage changes and content drafts for your approval. Connected search and paid traffic provide a broader marketing view.

Question 6

What is Autopilot, and is it safe?

Accepted Answer

Set a goal and Alice works toward it: she finds the gap, writes SEO and GEO code changes as pull requests through the GitHub App, and drafts blog posts and LinkedIn posts. Then she stops. She never merges, publishes, spends money, or changes a setting inside your Google, Meta or Stripe accounts, and some fixes have no API at all, so she hands you the exact click-path instead of pretending she fixed it. Autopilot is in Beta, so expect rough edges.

Question 7

How long does setup take, and what do I need to connect?

Accepted Answer

The free audit needs nothing but a URL. You do not need technical expertise or prior Search Console or GA4 setup to start. These are optional connections for deeper search and traffic insights; data-dependent features need the relevant source connected. Google Ads, Meta, Stripe, Shopify, GitHub and your own database are optional and can wait until you need them.

Question 8

What does it cost?

Accepted Answer

Free forever covers the website audit, 5 buyer questions with a weekly Visibility Snapshot, a Search Console and GA4 snapshot and 50 one-time Alice credits. Visibility is US$89 a month for ongoing AI visibility monitoring, SEO and GEO trends, 10 tracked buyer questions and a weekly Visibility Brief. Impact is US$149 a month and adds a broader connected marketing view, Shopify orders and revenue, Google Ads and Meta Ads, 50 tracked buyer questions and a weekly Business Impact Brief. Enterprise starts at US$299 a month for 100 tracked buyer questions, 10 conversion events and done-for-you setup, monitoring and improvement work by our team within an agreed scope. You approve changes and publishing before we proceed; final pricing depends on the agreed scope, so email us to start. Free and Visibility include 1 website, Impact includes 2, and Enterprise adds more websites on request. Monthly billing, cancel anytime, with a 30-day refund on any paid plan.

Question 9

Is my data safe, and where is it stored?

Accepted Answer

Alice reads only what you connect through OAuth, and read-only: she cannot change a setting in your accounts. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, stored in AWS in the Asia Pacific (Tokyo) region, never sold or shared, and never used to train AI models. Cached query results are purged after 24 hours, and you can request full deletion at any time.

Question 10

Can I check Alice's numbers myself?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and the product is built for it. Every answer shows the query behind it, the sources used and the raw results, and you can edit and re-run it or export to CSV. The free audit is deterministic, so you can run curl against the same page and confirm what it reports. Alice refuses to report a number she cannot verify against your own data.
